Hariyali Cooperative Amber Red

(4 customer reviews)

$5.25$12.75 (from $0.19/cup)

Amber Red is a roasted black tea with sweet, full flavors. The tea is handpicked, rolled, and fully oxidized. It is then roasted during the finishing process, resulting in a cup with almost no astringency or dryness. There are notes of milk chocolate, sweet potato and white grape. The aftertaste is incredibly sweet and thick for a black tea. The tea leaves and liquor have a deep, lush fragrance, like radishes and flowers, that is characteristic of Nepal’s high-altitude teas.

I tried this on a whim, and it is now one of my favorite anytime teas, light or heavy brewing depending on current mood. Just had my first sip of the morning. Ahhh.

One of the coolest thing about Zerama Teas is that I’ve received a nice sized sample with each order. It is like getting a surprise gift in the mail, some even come with a handwritten note which is a really nice addition.

In a recent order, the sample was the Hariyali and it was amazing!!! I probably wouldn’t have ordered it without the sample because I usually go for green teas but this was really an amazing tea I can’t wait to order more.

So smooth that I didn’t need to add anything at all and it had just an overall light milk chocolate feel to it and , for lack of a better description, it had a really delicious, warm, cozy and comforting feeling.

Thanks so much for the samples and allowing me to try these other teas. Looking forward to ordering a lot more soon!
    Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful tea for that first cup of the morning. It is very smooth and flavorful. I do get the hint of chocolate and I also feel like there is a raisin/fruit back note that rounds it out. This is a definite re-order.

I randomly happened across Zerama on Reddit of all places and was looking for some new teas to try. I picked three and they were kind enough to give me a sample as well. While all the teas were good, this tea was the stand out favorite.

It’s definitely a black tea, but it’s got a lighter quality that really makes it stand out to me. Sweetened it was excellent, and with half and half it’s just as good.

Strong recommend if you are looking for a black tea that’s not your average black tea.
