Description
Lao Cong Shui Xian is a Wuyi Rock Tea made from old trees of Shui Xian cultivar. Shui Xian is translated as Water Sprite or Narcissus and Lao Cong means old bush. While Shui Xian is a common varietal in Wuyi, the traditional process of making this oolong is quite complicated. The tea is grown in three areas of Wuyi, Huiyuan Keng, Wu San Di, and Jianyang Shufang. The tea trees were originally planted by farmers many years ago. Lao Cong Shui Xian grows slower than younger tea plants, this allows its tea leaves to accumulate minerals and develop a deep fragrant flavor.
