Dragon Well

(1 customer review)

A beautiful light yellow liquor with a buttery aroma. The flavor is sweet and vegetal with a hint of chestnut. There is a lovely balance of sweetness with light astringency. The lingering finish completes this very refreshing tea.

We have cleared out last year’s stock of this delicious tea. Our new stock is organically certified and equally luscious

Fantastic. This week I’ve been having two pots of it daily. It’s a smooth tea that goes down easy.
Has some nice floral notes and a little bit of minerality. Bonus: great vibes for getting in that calm/focus zone when doing work or reading.

Dragon Well is perhaps the best known of Chinese green teas. The beautiful shape of the leaf is created by pressing the leaf with the base of the hand against the wok while it is being fired. The end result is a rich green color that is tinged with gold. This exquisite Lung Ching Dragon Well comes from Zhejiang province and is harvested in mid-April. Spring Dragonwells are highly prized as the temperatures warm later in the season in China the leaves bolt or grow too large and too quickly.
