The pale green liquor creates a luscious buttery aroma. The flavor is sweet and toasty with a hint of chestnuts.

Another excellent green tea. The nice thing about this Long Jing is that seems to have some nice body to it without any astringency, at least in the way I’m preparing it. One of my first impressions was the smell of a fresh garden. That being said, I would not put this in the vegetal, grassy category at all. It’s sweet and a little buttery and to borrow a tasting note from above, hints of chestnuts.
Overall, it has a nice, balanced flavor and holds up very well to multiple steepings. I would absolutely get this one again. Good vibes too!

Long considered the king of Chinese green teas, Long Jing (Dragon Well), gains its classic leaf shape, by the leaves being pressed against the surface of a wok. This process creates a rich-green leaf that is tinged with yellow-gold. Our Long Jing comes from the Tiger Mountain region of West Lake, long renowned for its superior teas.
