Organic Colombian Green

$4.50$24.75 (from $0.44/cup)

The large green leaves produce an aroma that is slightly buttery with a hint of toasted nuts. The pale yellow liquor has low astringency and a clean refreshing flavor that is lightly sweet and vegetal.

This is a great green tea! Don’t let the country of origin fool you, this tea is every bit as good as the other green teas on this site.

It’s light but has a nice fresh flavor, similar to the Ming Deng Gan Lu but not as elegant. A little bit more casual vibe.

What I really like about it is that it doesn’t seem to have a big caffeine jolt. There are some green teas that will deceptively perk you up, and you’ll wonder why and how. This isn’t one of them, for me.
Because of that, I find it’s great to drink when I’m doing work and want the hydration.

Organic Colombian Green Tea is grown on the Bitaco Tea Estate and produced by Agricola Himalaya. The estate is located high in the Andes, beside a protected Forest Reserve at an altitude of 6000 ft.  You may not think of Colombia when thinking of tea production. However, the climate, rich volcanic soil, and altitude create perfect conditions for growing high-quality tea. Agricola Himalaya is a strong supporter of social responsibility. They provide support for the local communities including building schools, improving the infrastructure, and providing access to technology for the community.
