Extra long wiry leaves give this tea an exquisite appearance. This medium-bodied tea has bright astringency and a flavor with hints of fruit and honey. It is a delicious anytime favorite.

This tea is beautiful in both form and taste. Well-rolled, complete two-leaf and a bud pickings slowly unfurl over multiple steepings. The bright, aromatic flavor leads with fruit notes reminiscent of grilled peaches, with hints of wildflower honey and malt, rounded out by some woodsy notes I find characteristic of Nilgiri teas.
Truly a top of the line tea; I don’t know how it is as inexpensive as it is. It reminds me of an unroasted Wuyi oolong. Excellent!

The best black tea I have ever had, and for the price cannot be beat!

This was one of my first purchases from Zerama Tea. With my first taste I realized how smooth it is and what awesome quality this tea is. One of my favs!

Nilgiris literally means “Blue Mountains”. This spectacular mountain range in Southern India is part of the Western Ghats chain and is considered by many to be the “southern Darjeeling”. Today this region produces 10% of India’s total tea production. Teas from Nilgiris are known for their bright brisk character.
